Four Seasons in One day!
Expect the unexpected when it comes to the weather in Lewis and Harris. When someone coined the phrase "Four Seasons in One Day", they could well have been on an island visit. When the sun shines, it is majestic and in the height of the summer months it is not uncommon for daylight to extend to after 11pm, a truly unique experience for many. It can be spectacular in the same breath, too, with the islands located on the north-western frontier of Europe and caressed by Atlantic breakers. Winters can be very mild, thanks to a warm sea current known as the North Atlantic Drift, which originates in the Caribbean.
