By Air
Stornoway is connected to the mainland by daily flights to the major Scottish airports.
Highland Airways operate daily flights between Inverness and Stornoway.

Flybe operate regular flights, from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness to Stornoway, Barra and Benbecula www.flybe.com.
Eastern Airways now operate a daily service between Stornoway and Aberdeen.

When travelling from another country then book a flight to Glasgow, Edinburgh or Inverness and then see the connecting flights listed above.
By Ferry
You can travel from Ullapool to Stornoway in less than 3 hours on the large and comfortable Calmac ferry, the " Isle of Lewis ". Alternatively you can choose the shorter crossing ( 1hr 40mins ) from Uig on Skye to Tarbert on Harris. During your journey across the Minch you can take in an array of islands, as well as carry out a bit of dolphin and porpoise spotting !
